英研究说有望在出现症状5年前检出乳腺癌
新华社北京11月4日电 英国一项新研究说，通过血液检测分析肿瘤细胞产生的某些抗原，有望把检测出乳腺癌的时间提前到出现临床症状之前5年。不过研究人员也表示这项技术还处于早期阶段，有待进一步发展和完善。
英国诺丁汉大学研究人员3日在英国国家癌症研究所举办的2019癌症大会上报告说，肿瘤在发展过程中会产生许多肿瘤相关抗原（TAA），通过血液检测分析某些TAA组合，可用于判断是否存在乳腺癌。
在一项初步研究中，90名乳腺癌患者提供了血液样本，另有90人的样本作为对照。研究人员发现，如果利用9个TAA的组合进行分析，在乳腺癌患者样本中判断患乳腺癌的正确率为37%，在对照组样本中判断没有患乳腺癌的正确率为79%。
研究人员说，虽然这项技术还处于需要发展和完善的早期阶段，但现有证据是令人鼓舞的，说明有望通过这种方法实现对乳腺癌的早期检测。研究人员表示，这种方法有可能在患者出现临床症状之前5年就检测出乳腺癌。
据介绍，研究人员正在利用800名乳腺癌患者的样本进行更大规模的测试，同时也在探索用类似方法对肺癌、胰腺癌、结肠癌和肝癌等癌症进行早期检测。
